Delete your account
Deleting your Bible Club account removes it and everything in it. It is immediate, and it cannot be undone.
The fastest way: in the app
- Open Bible Club and go to the Profile tab.
- Tap the settings icon in the top corner.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm. Your account is gone before the screen closes.
If you no longer have the app
Email {{SUPPORT_EMAIL}} from the address on the account, with the subject Delete my account. Include your username if you remember it.
If you signed up with Sign in with Apple and used Apple's private relay, send the request from that relay address, or tell us your username and we will write back to the account's address to confirm it is you. We will not delete an account on a request we cannot tie to its owner — that protection cuts both ways.
We complete verified requests within 30 days, and usually within two working days.
What gets deleted
- Your profile: username, display name, photo, bio, interests.
- Every reflection, question and reply you posted, and every like and helpful mark you gave.
- Your direct messages and your club chat messages.
- Your club memberships. If you were the owner of a club, ownership passes to the longest-standing remaining member; a club with no one left in it is deleted with you.
- Your highlights, verse notes and saved verses.
- Your follows, your blocks, and the reports you filed.
- Your phone number hash, if you connected contacts.
- Your notification device tokens and preferences.
- Your Sign in with Apple link, revoked with Apple, so Bible Club stops appearing under Settings → Apple Account → Sign in with Apple on your device.
What does not get deleted
- Messages you already sent to other people. A direct message is in someone else's conversation too; we cannot reach into their copy.
- Product event counts, which are disconnected from your account and kept only as anonymous totals.
- Reports other people filed about you, kept for up to 12 months so a pattern of behaviour stays recognisable. These hold the report, not your profile.
- Backups, which expire on their own within 30 days.
Deleting your account does not remove the app from your device, and it does not cancel anything you may have bought through the App Store or Google Play. Bible Club does not charge for anything, so there should be nothing to cancel.
